In an effort to showcase the regions potential as a place to start a career, a number of international university students have toured the Riverland.

Through a partnership between Regional Development Australia and Study Adelaide over 30 students from 16 different countries spent two days learning about the region earlier this month.

Some aspects of the tour included networking events as well as visits to local businesses, with the tour itself securing funding through the department of industry, innovation and science.

RDAMR say the goal of the event held earlier this month was to introduce potential professional workers to the region, and support local businesses in filling ongoing vacancies.
