A much needed drop of rain has been embraced by Riverland and Mallee farmers.
10.2mm of rainfall has been recorded at the official Renmark airport weather station since Thursday morning, with Loxton recording 9mm.
Some unofficial readings over 10mm were also reported, with the chance of a showers this afternoon on the forecast.

Year-to-date rainfall for the region is still well behind the average, currently sitting under 60mm for the year.
