The Paringa Bridge lifting span remains out of action as repairs are needed to be carried out.
A failure of the lifting mechanism late last year sees crews waiting on important parts to arrive from United Kingdom.
The now 99-year-old structure that crosses the River Murray, has seen other repairs in recent years, with the lift unable to operate for three weeks in 2024.
This again has seen significant frustration for some houseboat owners who are currently stuck either side of the historic bridge.
Currently the department of Infrastructure and Transport anticipate the Bridge will be operational between the 17th and 24th of January.
