The latest fruit fly update from PIRSA has revealed one new detection in the Riverland, together with one zone also expanded further.
The latest detection was made in Lyrup on the 18th of December, after maggots were found in stone fruit.
Updated outbreak maps can be found via the fruitfly.sa.gov.au website, with additional information also available via the 1800 666 010 fruit fly hotline.
In pleasing news as the region battles the horticultural pest, a recent industry meeting to discuss the matter was well attended recently in Barmera.
