New app identifying bushfire risk

A new bushfire risk app could see local households save money on insurance premiums.

Both NRMA Insurance and Suncorp Group will provide discounts to households who implement improvements using the Bushfire Resilience Rating Home Self-Assessment App.

Since launched in October last year 19,000 households having already used the app, with the aim to see more proactive steps taken to lower bushfire risks.

Resilient Building Council (RBC), Founder and CEO, Kate Cotter said “Helping people take action and reduce their insurance premiums through the free app is a game-changer for the 1 million households living in bushfire risk areas across Australia.”
