Man dies at local Go Kart event  

A report for the Coroner is now being prepared, following a man’s death at a go kart race meeting in Loxton.

Just after 11.30 Sunday morning, emergency crews were called to the Loxton Kart Club after a racer had left he track and collided with a truck.

The local man in his 70’s behind the wheel sustained serious injuries in the crash and sadly died at the scene.

Investigations are now continuing into the circumstances, including whether a medical episode was a contributing factor.
