Loxton drug and weapon seizure

Drugs and weapons have been seized following a Police search of a Loxton residence.  

Last Wednesday, Murray Mallee Police located two cannabis plants, a quantity of dried cannabis & approximately 2 grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine.

Also located were Items related to drugs and drug dealing.

Further search efforts then located a gel blaster and firearms parts, prohibited weapons including Tasers, defensive spray and knives.

Suspected stolen property was also recovered.

A 51-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman, both from Loxton, were subsequently arrested and charged with trafficking a controlled drug, cultivating cannabis, possessing dangerous articles, possessing a firearm and ammunition, and unlawful possession.

The man was remanded and appeared in the Berri Magistrates Court last Friday, while the woman was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court in June.
