The now iconic Renmark Rowing club Long Row event returns this weekend.

Over 200 rowers will take on the 36KM journey from the Renmark Rowing Club to the Woolshed Brewery at Wilkadene Tomorrow (22/6/24).

The event’s notoriety has also gained the attention of the State Governor & avid rower the Honourable Frances Adamson AC who will take part in the event.

Governor Adamson is no stranger to Rowing, being the current patron of Rowing SA and was the first was the first female captain of the Adelaide University Boat Club.

President of the Renmark Rowing Club, Tony Townsend, said “The club was thrilled to be welcoming Her Excellency along to participate in this iconic event”.

“The River Murray is a special place and it is a privilege to share our soaring ochre cliffs, dense redgum forests and winding river with friends who are bound by a common love of rowing. “Said Townsend.
