Local road funding concern

The RAA are the latest group to call out SA road spending shortfalls in this week’s federal budget.

While a project in the Adelaide Hill was funded, the RAA say further investment is needed, including for the proposed and once budgeted Truro Sturt highway Bypass.  

RAA Chief Executive Officer Nick Reade said the bypass, along with the Duplication of the Sturt Highway were vital infrastructure projects in need of federal funding to improve road safety and boost economic productivity.

Mr Reade added further “RAA has consistently called for duplication of the August, Duke & Sturt highways.”
