They’ll soon be more camping opportunities at the Chowilla Game Reserve, north of Renmark.
This week the department announced a new camp site would be built at the Monomon Creek campgrounds, which would include a sheltered area, fire pits and new signage.
National Parks and Wildlife Service Regional Operations Director Stuart Paul said “The development of the new campground enables this popular section of the Chowilla Game Reserve to be open for the broader public.’’
