Helipad upgrades at local hospitals are set to take place very soon, with the Riverland sites expected to be completed by the middle of the year.
As part of the local upgrades at Berri & Loxton, safety zones will also be widened to better protect patients and staff when the helipads are in use.
The local upgrades form part of an over $20M state-wide spend, with Health Minister Chris Picton saying “Upgrading the helipads that service regional South Australian hospitals will ensure critically ill and injured patients can be transported safely and quickly to a major trauma hospital for treatment.
