The extent of gambling losses in Australia has been further unpacked, showing gaming machines remain a major factor.
The report prepared by the Gratton Institute shows Australians are losing $24 Billion dollars each year to gambling, with half of this attributed to poker machines.
Information from the Office of Consumer and Business Services shows within the three major Riverland Council areas 418 gaming machines were in operation at the end of June this year, collectively seeing over $22M of revenue collected.
