More moves are being made to cut out violence in SA’s public hospitals and health facilities.
Alarmingly over 7000 code black incidents were recorded across the state this year from January to mid-July.
A new round of the ‘Abuse shouldn’t be part of the job’ Respectful Behaviours Campaign has now been rolled out, which calls for respect for doctors, nurses, ambos and other health workers.

Locally the Riverland Mallee Coorong Local Health Network had 36 code black incidents over the reporting window from January to mid-July.
This follows full time security staff being employed from late 2023 at the regions major hospitals.
