SA’s River Murray flood clean up has hit a major milestone.
Over 10,000 tonnes of waste has now been collected and disposed though the state government run Green Industries SA.
Disaster Management Australia say over 1800 residents registered for assistance, with over 30% of all waste collected diverted from landfill.

Tom Radford, Senior Stakeholder Manager, stated, “The program has hit more than 1,800
registrations from residents seeking assistance. However, we understand there are still people who
may want assistance and are yet to register.”
