CFS crews remain on high alert again today, with Total Fire Bans in place locally.
Extreme fire conditions are forecast for the Riverland & Murraylands fire districts.
Today (13/2/24) we’re expecting a hot and windy day, with temps expected to tip over 40 degrees, with possible afternoon thunderstorms.
The Bureau say ‘Hot, dry and gusty northwesterly winds, ahead of a cooler south to southwesterly change extending over the southeast during the day, will cause elevated fire dangers on Tuesday. Thunderstorms will develop about the far east during the day and may exacerbate the dangerous fire weather”
A Monash CFS bushfire ready information session set for tonight has also been postponed due to the extreme weather.
