A Riverland man has died following a Sturt Highway crash Thursday afternoon at Kanni.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene between Kingston on Murray and Waikerie around 4pm, following reports of a head-on crash between a road train and Holden sedan.
The driver of the Holden sedan, a 40-year-old man from Barmera sadly died at the scene, while the driver of the truck was not physically injured.

The man’s death is the 40th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
Following the crash the highway was closed overnight to allow crash investigators to attend, however has since reopened.
