Police are investigating reports of counterfeit $50 notes being used as to purchase goods in the Riverland.
Last week two counterfeit $50 notes were used at two Riverland businesses, police now urging business operators to remain vigilant.
The fakes are slightly smaller in size, have no hologram, and as well are brighter in colour.

Anyone who thinks they’ve seen a fake $50 locally, or may have further information is urged to contact crime stoppers.
