A decline in Riverland business confidence has been noted in the latest state monitor from Bank SA.
The survey conducted in July saw the Riverland and Mid north region record a 14.9 point decrease in business confidence from 102.4 to 87.5 points, with 100 points being the baseline.
While confidence may down within the business community, few businesses surveyed had experienced a drop in turnover.
Dry conditions through the state have been attributed for some of the reason for the drop, with consumers also slightly less likely to consider larger purchases.
BankSA Agribusiness Regional General Manager, Les Ryan, said regional consumers and businesses had demonstrated overall resilience with only slight falls in confidence despite several negative issues impacting rural communities.
