Council extends tourism funding

While the Mid Murray Council continues to look for savings, they’ve agreed to continue funding Destination Riverland.  

At a recent meeting of council, a one year funding extension was agreed on seeing $15,000 allocated to the regions peak tourism body.

Ongoing investment past the 2024/25 financial year will be considered pending outcomes of the South Australian Tourism Commission’s Regional Tourism Review.

Cost savings continue to be a major focus for the Mid Murray Council, as the region continues flood recovery on top of other cost pressures.
