Not one Riverland service station has made the top 20 for the cheapest fuel over the last three months.
Data provided by the RAA revealed the cheapest 20 regional sites over the last three months, which was taken out by a Mount Gambier outlet.
They had an average price per litre of $1.73
RAA fuel expert Mark Borlace said “With fuel prices spiking to over $2 per litre in the last week – it’s never been more important to shop around for the best price.
Mr Borlace added further “If you’re heading on a regional trip, it pays to check the price at your destination before you leave so you can choose whether to fill up your whole tank now or wait until they arrive.”
As of this morning, some Riverland outlets had unleaded for $1.91 per litre
