A number of grass fires recently has seen CFS volunteers called into action, with one of the eight fires being in the Riverland.
While fire danger season dates are still yet to be announced, the CFS are urging locals to prepare properties for the upcoming season.
The CFS say if you are planning any fire activity to make sure to have a responsible person on hand, have water or fire extinguisher available, and regularly check to ensure its fully extinguished.
