A local MP says he’ll continue to push to save the iconic Cobdogla Steam Museum.
This week it was revealed SA Water’s intentions were not to re-open public access to the site, after a volunteer group who looked after the site for decades were locked out during the flood event.
The site, has currently no active SA Water infrastructure, however is home to a number historical artefacts – including the world renowned Humphry pump.
Local MP, Tim Whetstone said “It’s extremely unfortunate that the Labor Government has put the pump and the museum in the too-hard basket, adding he will continue to advocate for the future of the Humphrey Pump and will continue to pressure the Labor Government to help preserve the iconic piece of history for generations to come.”
