Alleged trespassers arrested in Renmark

Two people from interstate have been arrested following an alleged trespass incident at Chowilla.

Security camera notifications Friday afternoon alerted the property owner of trespassers on his property, he swiftly called police and provided descriptions – including of the getaway car being a Mitsubishi Magna.

The pair left prior to Police arriving, however early Sunday police located the car in question on Murray Street in Renmark. Police found the car had altered number plates.

Later that day Police spotted a man and woman that matched the description of the suspects also in Renmark. Local officers then spoke to the pair who allegedly provided false personal details

As a result, A 39-year-old Queensland man and 27-year-old Queensland woman were arrested and were charged with trespass, providing false personal details to police, several counts of unlawful possession, and driving offences.

The pair were refused Police Bail.
