Karoonda-East Murray locals have until the end of the week to make comment on Councils Draft Annual Business plan.
Earlier this year the Essential Services Commission made recommendations to lift Council rates by 4%, elected members however opted for a lower rate rise of 3.2%, citing the current economic conditions.
The proposed raise will see council rake in a further $74,000 in rates, making the total income from rates sit around $2.3M.

Written submissions need to be in prior to 5PM Friday (11/7/25) with a public meeting scheduled to be held next week.
