The standout arrival this month is Mafia: The Old Country on PS5. Transporting players into the brutal underworld of 1900s Sicily, the story follows Enzo Favara as he fights to earn his place within the Family. Expect stiletto blades, sawed-off shotguns, and vintage motorcars set against authentic period drama.

Aloy also makes her grand return with the re-release of Horizon Forbidden West for both PS5 and PS4, giving anyone who missed out another chance to explore majestic frontiers and take down towering machines.

Shooter fans get a genuine day-one debut with Mycopunk on PS5.

This chaotic four-player co-op looter shooter places you in control of discarded robots tasked with clearing out a planet overrun by bizarre fungal aliens. Between hand-crafted upgrades, quirky weapon modifications, and frantic combat, it looks set to become an immediate multiplayer favourite.

Rounding out the Extra catalogue are several distinct adventures:

Retro Dinosaurs and Theme Parks for Deluxe Members

Subscribers on the top-tier PlayStation Plus Deluxe service have a classic retro treat waiting for them. Capcom’s beloved prehistoric action adventure Dino Crisis 2 arrives on PS5 and PS4, sending Regina and newcomer Dylan back into Cretaceous jungles packed with over ten species of vicious dinosaurs.

If dodging raptors sounds a bit too intense, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition also joins the retro vault, letting you design loop-de-loops and manage park finances without spending a single dollar extra.

Deluxe members will also gain access to new limited Game Trials starting 20 October, including previews for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy and Mortal Shell II.
