If you thought your journey through Ezo was over, think again. Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition is officially heading to PlayStation 5 on October 2, bringing a massive drop of fresh content for both newcomers and returning fans.
New Story and Survival Modes The main attraction of this release is the brand-new narrative expansion, Echoes of Sekigahara. This addition splits its time between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s past on the mainland. Players will explore an unseen valley, face off against a new enemy faction known as the Vipers, and experiment with new heavy weapons and armour sets.
For those who just want straight action, the update also introduces Most Wanted, a single-player combat survival mode. You will hunt down bounties to earn perks and unlock extra playable characters. Each character has a distinct combat style, including Atsu with dual katana and Oyuki wielding the kusarigama.
Pricing and Free Updates The full Complete Edition will cost $124.95 AUD and includes the base game, the Legends co-op mode, and all the new expansions. If you already own the game, you do not have to buy it all over again, you can grab the upgrade for $22.95 AUD. Pre-ordering the upgrade before September 30 even grants you an early unlock of the Sakai Armor, a cool nod to Ghost of Tsushima.
Even if you choose not to upgrade, all existing players get a free patch on October 2. This includes a relaxing ‘Beauty of Yōtei’ screensaver mode and a highly requested feature: the ability to keep the appearance of one armour set while using the stats of another.
