As Riverland citrus producers continue this year’s harvest, there’s more calls to get oranges back to half time in Riverland sport.
The nation’s citrus producers have joined forces to see over 25,000 oranges delivered free to sporting clubs and schools.
Recent survey findings revealed fewer than three in ten kids are eating orange wedges at the half-time break according to their parents, with the new campaign looking to reverse this trend.
Riverland Cirtus Producer, Micheal Arnold said “We love the fact that orange wedges are an iconic part of Aussie sport, whether it’s at a junior game or at an elite level, and we don’t want to see that change”.
