Riverland Almond producers could be on track for a strong season, according to the latest forecast from the Almond Board of Australia.
The latest position report revealed demand remains strong in several markets, with the pre-harvest estimate nationally sitting at over 166,000 tonnes.
While the recent hot weather isn’t expected to impact crop levels, higher irrigation costs could see grower margins reduced.

Additional plantings in recent years sees the Riverland now producing around 30% of the nation’s almonds each year.
