Avatar: Fire and Ash Just Dropped a Stunning New Trailer

A stunning new trailer and poster have arrived for “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third film in the phenomenally successful franchise from Oscar®-winning filmmaker James Cameron. The movie opens exclusively in Australian and New Zealand cinemas on December 18, 2025, with screenings in IMAX 3D, Dolby Cinema 3D, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and other premium formats.

In addition, “Avatar: The Way of Water” the Oscar®-winning 2022 global box office phenomenon that grossed over $2.3 billion and won an Academy Award® for best achievement in visual effects will be re-released in 3D for a one-week special engagement starting October 2.

In “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” James Cameron transports audiences back to Pandora for an immersive new adventure. The story follows Marine-turned-Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) as they navigate new challenges with the Sully family. The screenplay is by James Cameron, Rick Jaffa, & Amanda Silver, from a story by the trio along with Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno.

The film features a star-studded cast, including Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, David Thewlis, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, and Kate Winslet. It also sees the return of Britain Dalton, Jamie Flatters, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Brendan Cowell, Bailey Bass, Filip Geljo, and Duane Evans, Jr.
