As part of a $40M flood road repair program, two local bridges will see repair works commence this month.
Both the Gurra Gurra Creek Bridge on Berri’s Bookpurnong Road, and the River Murray Flood Plain Bridge that links Renmark to Paringa will see repairs undertaken.
Both these bridges saw significant times under water during the 2022/23 River Murray Flood, with the Gurra Gurra Bridge closed to traffic for some time.
Lane and speed restrictions are set to be in place while works are underway, however outside of working hours traffic is expected to return to usual.
The department say works will start on the 14th of July, to then conclude later this year.
