Murray and Mallee Youth Get a Leg Up at Sport

Clubs in the Murray and Mallee have taken home a significant share of vouchers offered by the State Government to assist families with the costs of playing sport.

5,575 of the more than 100,000 vouchers issued have gone to clubs in the two regions - saving families across SA more than $5 million and attracting more young people to sports.

The program allows every primary school student to claim a voucher, which is used as a $50 subsidy towards the cost of a sports club fee or membership.

In the Murray and Mallee, the top clubs to have accepted vouchers include the Berri Junior Netball Club, Loxton Junior Netball Association, Barmera District Junior Netball Association
