8 Riverlanders arrested in drug busts

Riverland Detectives have wrapped up a drug operation, with 9 people arrested for various drug related offences, including drug trafficking.

Police have seized a significant amount of drugs including 2 grams of methamphetamines, 262 ecstasy tablets, 2kg dried cannabis plus $2,000 in cash, after searching a number of premises from South Australia to Victoria.

Nine men, including eight from Renmark and one from Mildura were charged.

Superintendent Ian Parrot from the Murray Mallee LSA states illicit drugs are intrinsically linked to crime, and the excellent results achieved by the good work of the officers involved will greatly assist in the disruption of illicit drug activity in the region.
